September 30 2012

Hello everyone, or maybe no one. I am currently 124 pounds roughly-way better than when I was 135 or even 165. I've finally lost weight the HEALTHY way! The right way- with no pills or anything to help me. I've done it the old fashioned way by cutting out unhealthy foods (for the most part, I do like to give myself a treat every now and then). I eat roughly 1200 calories a day, but I am trying to do calorie cycling (where you switch up your calorie intake everyday of the week, you can do this yourself by going to diet tools and going to the calorie calculator.) It tricks your body so your body doesn't get used to it and you hit no plateaus. I run almost everyday and do strength training about 2-3x a week (I am not going as hard as I can though). What has helped me the most of all is Instagram, I created a profile to post motivational pictures for myself, but I've gained so much more from this profile. The online community of Instagram can help you in so many more ways the people in your real life can. They support you, go through what you're going through, and give you so much advice and plenty more. I finally feel like people understand me. Check-In

It's August 23rd 2012. I am weighing in at around 128 pounds depending on the clothes/food intake I've already had for the day. I am at 22 percent body fat, which they say for my height is normal. I've lost 2 inches off my waist. I am wanting to get down to 115. I am continuing to workout with my personal trainer. I started smoking again some-what, and I can tell that is going to slow me down. I need to workout way more than I do. I want to be toned, and have abs. Not just 'be skinny'.

DAY 2 FEB 10

Day 2 of WeightLoss Adventure:

Breakfast:

Special K strawberry cereal w/ skim milk.
Carrots/cherry tomatoes w light ranch dressing.

Lunch:

Healthy Choice Sweet n Sour Pork Meal. Around 300 calories.

Dinner:

3 dumplings w/ korean green spicy onion. 2 rice w kim rolls.

Snack:

1 small bag of kettle corn popcorn w/1 half bag of buttered light popcorn. 2 bowls of salad as well. (This is where I went very overoard)

Workout: 1 hour of cardio w/ strength training 10 minutes.

I could have ate a lot better today, doing my best to get closer to more healthy options. The snack portion was too large. Weighed in at 136 this morning compared to the morning before was 134.8. Didn't drink as much water as the day before, only 3 cups which should have been 8. Not giving up!

BEFORE DAY 1 OF WEIGHT LOSS

I'm pre-blogging before I start my weight loss. My names Alexis, I am 5' 3'' tall, and weigh roughly 135-140 pounds. I am wanting to get down to a healthy 115. I've dealt with weight problems my whole life. While many might not think my weight is considered big, the way I eat is ridiculously unhealthy. I've tried dieting so many times, but I'm ready to make 'being healthy' a lifestyle. I will blog everyday what I have ate, and how much I exercised. I will try to post pictures as well. I am ready to start this adventure into becoming skinny.
